This Boreal Forest Series Project bag is called “EarthSong” and is all about the stuff that is usually unseen or unappreciated. Earth. It brings forth every green shoot and living plant. It nourishes and gives roots a place to secure to.
Earth in the boreal forest from what I’ve read is not terribly rich but it still manages to support many different kinds of trees and plants.
It reminds me of our lives, and how we flourish when we have nourishment, encouragement and a place to put down roots. Like faith, families and friends! And I’ll add to that furry friends as well.
I like to think of this fabric in a way that this beautiful earth brings forth art, uniqueness, beauty and life! 🌱
This bag is 12” x 12” , made with 100% cotton batik and the pull tabs and zipper pull are made with deer hide collected from local hunters and tanned locally.
