I’m so excited to show you the first project bag in our Boreal Forest Collection Series! It is called “Living Water”. Made from 100% cotton batik. 💙
The colors and pattern are peaceful and make me think of glistening waters on a sunlit lake.
The tabs and pull strings are made from deer hide which were collected from local hunters and also tanned locally.
The size is 12” x 12” and is a great size for small to medium size knitting projects. These are also great bags for organizing just about anything. Great for diaper bags or even cosmetics!
As you may know Canada is home to millions of fresh water lakes. The Boreal zone is home to an estimated 1.5 million lakes! It contains more lakes and rivers than any other comparable landmass as well as some of Canada’s largest lakes! They include Lake Superior (Anishinaabewi-gichigamiin), Lake Winnipeg, Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake, Lake Manitoba and many others.
